About Us
At Americans for Prosperity Kentucky, we believe that freedom drives progress, and that lasting change starts in our own communities. As the leading grassroots organization in the state, we work every day to empower citizens, build trusted relationships with policymakers, and champion policies that expand opportunity and remove barriers to success. Our priorities include tax reform, education opportunity, housing solutions, and health care accessibility and affordability. Our team is committed to advancing common-sense policies that put people, not government, in control of their lives. With a dedicated network of volunteers and local leaders, AFP Kentucky is building a stronger, freer future for all Kentuckians.

Prevent Future Government Shutdowns
Congress can stop budgeting by crisis and start budgeting for the future Americans deserve. It’s time to stop shutdowns for good.
Priorities
Health Care
Kentucky faces a critical shortage of doctors and medical facilities, especially in rural areas. By eliminating outdated regulations like the Certificate of Need (CON) and expanding licensure pathways for internationally trained physicians, we can increase access and improve care across the Commonwealth.
Affordable Housing
Housing shortages are driving up costs and limiting options for Kentucky families. We support reducing red tape, reforming zoning laws, and streamlining permitting to make it easier to build affordable, accessible homes.
Education Opportunity
A child’s education shouldn’t be determined by their zip code. We support open enrollment policies that give every student the freedom to attend the public school that best meets their needs.
Occupational Licensing Reform
One in five Kentuckians needs a license to work—and the current process is too slow and too burdensome. By recognizing out-of-state licenses and cutting unnecessary red tape, we can attract talent and grow our workforce.
Energy Freedom
Affordable, reliable energy is essential for economic growth and prosperity. By removing barriers to energy production, Kentucky can help lead the way in unleashing America’s full energy potential.
